First view of an exciting collaboration with the internationally-known potter, Steve Harrison, designer Susannah Rees (thatsusannahrees@gmail.com) and photographer, Richard Cannon.   Entering into the artist’s experience and sub-titled ‘A Quartet for Voices’ , Memento breaks new ground in art books.  In addition to the signed, hand-bound limited edition, a second edition is planned for wider circulation.  Watch this space!

WHITE FOX WOMAN

Performance at The Royal Academy of Music, of piece for voice and oboe.  Christie’s dramatic poem, White Fox Woman, set to music by composer Cecilia McDowall, explores the legend of Japanese fox spirits, and gives one of these spiritual vampires a theatrical and modern edge.  (See ‘Other Work’)

DEEP WATERS

Another performance of this comic, undersea opera with cast of singing fish.  Inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest, and tackling the issue of over-fishing, it was written with composer Cecilia McDowall for W11 Opera’s Millennium production.  Produced in two different venues by ‘Music on the Shannon’ and directed by singer/director Airlie Scott.

How To Get into Character - At the Guildford Literary Festival

Christie will be at the Guildford Book Festival talking about 'How to Get into Character' and how her 14 years as a theatre director now help her in writing vivid characters.
She will be sharing the stage with a Viking in full gear (aka fellow writer Robert Low) and may spring a few costume surprises herself.
